owl carousel running too fast

Postby Andy Salt » Tue Apr 25, 2017 10:09 pm Supported Until: Wed Sep 20 22:23:00 +1000 2017 | Expired

Hi. I've scoured the internet for some help with setting the speed of the transitions between the owl carousel post summaries shown in the 'featured posts' section used by the Asgard theme. I'm becoming fairly adept at using the inspector in Chrome to find which elements should be targeted in my custom CSS, but I've drawn a complete blank with this one. I've literally wasted a whole day on this.

So can you tell me what element to target in the custom CSS and the command that controls the transition speed please?

Hi,
Please update the latest version from the ThemeForest, then go to Plugins -> Disable and Delete Asgard Functionality plugin -> Back to Appearance -> Install Plugins -> Re-install this plugin again. Now, when you open Featured Posts shortcode, You will see Auto Play and Smart Speed Setting.
Thanks

Thanks for doing that, but it doesn't seem to work. I've tried values of 5,000, 50,000 and 500,000 milliseconds, and there's no difference. Am I missing something?

Hi,
Don't forget to Delete Asgard Functionality and re-install the plugin.
Thanks

Yes, I did that (and had I not done that, I wouldn't have had the boxes into which I placed custom values). It didn't work. I've just deleted the plugin and installed it again. No difference. I even tried to speed it up (by setting the time to 1000 milliseconds). Again, no difference. The time between slides is 5 seconds (or 5000 milliseconds), whatever value you choose.

So, let me get this straight. You've logged into my website with the details I sent you. You've reinstalled the entire theme without asking my permission. This has deleted the custom CSS that I've just spent 4 weeks painstakingly writing, and other tweaks I had made to the theme's php files. It has also completely transformed the appearance of my site, which is live to the public, my existing customers and my potential customers. You've also installed a plugin that I did not ask you to install. I don't mind you making recommendations, but last time I looked, it was my website, not yours.

It is fortunate that I anticipated this level of carelessness, and made a full backup before you messed up my website.

Oh, and by the way, the owl carousel is still running at exactly the same speed as before, so you did not even fix the problem I asked you to help me with.

Your intentions may be in the right place, but I have paid money to you for a professional theme, and your support so far has been a million miles from professional. You need to ask your customers for permission before you change anything other than what they've asked you to change, and you need to learn that lesson immediately.
